zana trenerry has been a local on the range for over six years and cheffed at two of the areas popular restaurants.

“it has been a dream of mine to open my own restaurant,”said zana. “i have been working towards it and now... here it is!”

zana’s@montville is a family concern with brother mark and sister helen joining the team.

“mark has been based in rockhampton for the past 18 years working in the recording industry,” said zana. “we have always been a close family and Mark and i actually performed in a rock band together for over 12 years after leaving school.”

music, food and hospitality are what we are about - helen our sister adds an international flavour. as one of the first female qantas captains, helen travels extensively and is quite a wine buff! She’s here at every opportunity and has also helped in the re-decorating,” said zana.

the trenerrys have done a complete refurbishment resulting in a decor which is is simple yet stunning with it’s incredible point of difference - an awesome view.

perched high on the montville hill the restaurant enjoys incredible views - where ever you are seated.

their menu also has a point of difference. from the bread to the relishes, dressings and biscuits, nearly every aspect of the menu is made under zana’s watchful eye.

the meals are predominantly seafood but there are also some classic meat and vegetarian selections for those feeling otherwise inclined, including a tuscan yearling fillet with blue cheese pollenta, mushroom ragout, rocket and vincotto.

it is hard to go past the glasshouse prawns however, and it is great to see a menu with meals ranging from $14.95 to $24.95.

even the kids are catered for with great kids meals which include a drink for only $9.95. “we aim to provide tasty, quality meals at affordable prices,”said zana. “After all, a family should be able to enjoy a great meal out, every now and then, without blowing the budget!”

zana’s is open from tuesdays to sunday lunch

lunch from11:30 am  and dinner from 6:30 kitchen tends to close by 8 to 8: 30 pm approx so our chef ,"Zana" can sing !  yahoo!
